Jay Mohr Sports / #THTC Interviews

Early in "show history", I did 4 interviews with #THTC winners. I really want to do more of these with past winners. Momentum stopped after those first four because #THTC got weirdly competitive, but it's reached a really cool steady state now. So if you're a past winner and want to do an interview, hit me up here or on Twitter. I think these can be an awesome way to get to know the crew that tweets the show and brings home the hardware.
As The Great Bluedini says on the Twitter, these can be as discrete as you like. I send a script before we do it, and you can edit out anything you're not comfortable with. I know some of you are more private than me. It's cool.

Jay Mohr Sports / Show non-history: #EndJaycism now

On May 3, 2013, our #THTC campaign to #EndJaycism and raise concern about the offensive KU Jawhawk mascot barely got two inadvertent bits of recognition. But it's totally OK, because for the better part of the day, the #THTC was doing something bigger than the show. We actually made a dent, propelling our solidarity with Jays everywhere and fat acceptance to the very top of Twitter trending topics. See attached picture.
JJ, if you read this, let us know if you knew it was going on or if it was just stupid or too edgy. Because #TireyTuesday is already shaping up to be a bigger #THTC #AfterHours event!

JJ,
I think we all learned from the Kim Genovisi episode. Nobody in the #THTC is entitled to have tweets read, win the contest, tell you what jokes to make, etc. Most of all, I think we all learned what your Twitter timeline must look like in the off hours of the show and have tried to respect that.
What you've done with Twitter since you first started using it filling in for Rome (and read my tweet on the first day of that, @Fotabulous) is amazing. It's changed sports radio, probably talk radio, and most importantly, brought fans of your show together. #THTC. We tweet after-hours because we're all funny as hell and enjoy doing it.
Jesus isn't Vic in NoCal. If Jesus put his best effort forward, he couldn't be as big of a douche as Victor is before he wakes up. Jesus got passionate about this because he cares. He's a good, hard-working guy. Loves his family. Has loved the show from day 1. He's not good at being a hater or an enemy.
So... FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WILL YOU UNBLOCK HIM SO HE DOESN'T CLUTTER OUR TIMELINES WITH THE TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS OF BEING BLOCKED BY @JAYMOHR37??

Did JJ talk about USC's hiring of Andy Enfield in hour 1? This is so huge in LA, and challenges JJ's premise that Westwood is the place to be.

Jay Mohr Sports / Thanks from Don and Betty

Gotta say, when I sent that tweet yesterday while waiting for them to come out of the cruise terminal, I thought maybe it would get read if it was a slow morning. Never imagined the play it would get. I was on the phone with them last night reading every tweet that I knew about. We were laughing for the better part of an hour. They know they're old and they know they're blessed, and they are still enjoying life as much as they have in the 42 years I've known them.
To put it into a little more perspective. She's been battling and living with leukemia for 25 years. He just had surgery for colon cancer in December. Stuff like that happens when you get old, but like the honey badger, they don't give a f*ck. My Nana is getting a new Chromebook today and the first thing she wants to do is learn about Twitter and meet the #THTC people. We're gonna go kinda slow with that :-).
So guys and gals, thanks for turning a routine pick-up the grandparents from their vacation morning into one of the most entertaining days ever. It is amazing what comes out of the Jay Mohr #THTC sausage factory when you feed it something tiny to work with.

Truly the most compelling thing on sports radio. No joke, JJ. And I'm not washing your balls either. I hope you can get Brain to sing "It's Braining Men" one day. The freestyle was good too. I hear that Leno may come to Fox. That would be epic.
BTW, was listening to 3 callers to Primetime Cannons discuss their brackets just now and hit the snooze button. Bohring.
