It's a bit more than just an inside joke, but what is Mattys backstory? How did he come to be on the show? Is his past really that sketchy or is it exaggerated? If its too personal, no big deal. Obviously I get the "lost a lung from too much weed" joke, but anything else would be cool to know.

How about no. I am tired of the podcast stuff dragging down the show. It's gotten pretty bad, and people are noticing. It's a sports talk show. I am ok with the occasional guest or Adam Carolla, but this recent trend of in-studio guests is starting to get old, fast

Pops, I know that. I've read the other threads...but my point is, the podcast stuff is creeping onto the show more and more. I am ok with it to a point, but lately it has been a little over the top. Its a sports show first. That was my point. And I am not the only one. If people that post on here turn the station when he has Phil (as Bobbi) on..then I imagine a lot of others are doing it too.

Other than the podcast stuff I posted about, my only complaint is the tweets read on air are basically the same group of people. It's pretty rare to hear a tweet read by anyone not a member of the THTC. I get it though, comedy is hard and those guys are pretty damn funny. But maybe mix it up a bit...
That said, it's the best 3 hours of my work day. And having a portable XM player in my car (I work in field sales so I am always on the road). It has a pause/rewind function so I rarely miss any of the show. Keep up the good work JJ and crew!

JJ, I love the show as much as anyone, but lately it seems that the Fake Mustache podcast stuff is creeping into the show more and more. I get it, cross promotion, but I simply don't have the time to listen to all (even a few) podcasts. I listened to the Rhonda Rousey one. That's it. So when Bobbi Dooley or Bob Marly comes on and I have no idea why it's funny bc I don't listen to the podcasts, you lose me...not trying to be a total bitch, but maybe explain stuff a little better or lighten up on it. It tends to muddle the show IMO.

Mike Silver is some SI.com writer, and last week POB had him on to talk NFL football. Pat asks something along the lines of "so what are the big stories for the 1st week." And Silver, seemingly pissed, said "well, don't you have the sports ticker right there in front of you?" Well Friday POB came into studio during JJ's show and recapped the events. And JJ proceeded to call out Silver for being a punk and a jerk. Then the Twitter war ensued that evening...IMO, Mike Silver was being a dick. I am not always a huge fan of POB, but the man is pretty much a legend in sports broadcasting. Silver is some web hack for and SI and Yahoo, and needed to show a bit more respect...and to tough talk and not apologize during the twitter stuff just made him look worse....my take anyway

Started with the comments today....Went into meltdown mode this evening. I don't always love POB, but he's a legend in the sports business. Silver insulted him a few days back (Pat asked him about the upcoming NFL games, and Silver spouted off some line like "don't you have the sports ticker there in front of you?") and then had the balls to keep on talking shit on Twitter. Props to JJ, POB, and some THTC members for calling out Silver. What a d-bag

The Broncos were actually mad that the NFL wanted to put a Flacco poster on Manning's forehead.
People in Denver are mad about the Flacco posters? I'm not, they taste and sound awesome! S/ Von Miller
I know mine aren't comedy gold, but it seems like JJ and Matty only pull from the THTC guys...rarely do I hear a Tweet read from an outsider...come on JJ, LOOK AT THE GAME TAPE!

Whatever....GNR in their prime rocked. JJ made it totally one sided using "Sweet Child O' Mine"...would have been more fair using a face melter like "You Could Be Mine." Sorry but Perry Farrell is weird and creepy. Axl is just an asshole.
