This might be the funniest episode of all time.

I had to tap out several times, because i was in the office, and i couldn't hold in my laughter and was screaming like a child.

i've never heard j and matty crack up like this.

ERPIE AND GLOBOLO FOR LIFE

In case you wondering, I got it straight from the horses' mouth: it's spelled "Erpie"

Did they end up reviewing the Ricky movie? They were teasing it as coming up, and I got called away from my desk and missed a couple of segments.

Jay Mohr Sports / the story thread
« on: April 11, 2013, 08:53:06 pm »
i'm starting this thread so fans of the podcast might help people remember which episodes certain stories were told.

the vin scully bit today made me think of a story jay had told once where vin scully commented on an injury report, where the player was listed at "day to day", i guess we're all kind of "day to day", and i can't remember which one that was from, f-ing hysterical.

any other stories you remember that you'd like to know where it came from?

Jay Mohr Sports / #143 Margaret Cho
« on: March 22, 2013, 06:23:54 pm »
Another solid episode - not as hilarious as some, but really interesting. Margaret rubbed me the wrong way, back in the day, and she was off my radar for quite awhile, but i like the new, more mature Cho. Her voice is adorable, and she seems like a real sweetheart.

I take full credit for this episode happening, by the way. some time last year, Cho was in town, doing local radio, and JJ had been bitching that he couldn't get her to do the podcast. I sent a text to the local radio show, and told the DJ to tell her to do Mohr Stories, he did, she said she would, and months later...WHAMMY. You're welcome everybody!*

(* i know i had absolutely nothing to do with it, it's a joke. True story though.)

Jay Mohr Sports / Positivity Thursdays
« on: March 21, 2013, 03:08:24 pm »
In honor of Positivity Thursday, I tried to start another Twitter game. Got stonewalled again.

So, once again, i'm bringing it here to kick around with youz guys, and see if we can get some laughs.

the positivity riff is basically people we usually take shots at, doing the opposite of what you'd expect.

"Hey, that BBQ looks great, i'm gonna have to pass though. Gotta get some cardio in before practice" - Andy Reid

"Y'know, once you get used to them, these condoms aren't so bad" - Antonio Cromartie

"It hurts, but just tape it up, I can still go" - Dwight Howard

What you got?!

Jay Mohr Sports / Don Martin movies
« on: March 20, 2013, 07:39:49 pm »
I tried to get this rolling today, but Matty/JJ didn't want any of it. I still think it's funny, and i'd like to see what you guys come up with.

What movie roles would you like to see Don Martin in (based off of JJ's impression of him)

- The Dude in The Big Lebowski
- with POB as Riggs and Murtagh in Lethal Weapon
- Matthew McConaughey's character in Dazed and Confused
- Hank Hill

what you got?

Jay Mohr Sports / #142 - Phil Hendrie
« on: March 18, 2013, 05:41:21 pm »
This was a bit of a departure from standard Mohr Stories fare, but I have to say, I really dug it.

Never really heard Phil Hendrie before, but he's good. The "Steve" voice was cracking me up.
