if so he might want to read this article before going on a ten minute rant about how Ray Lewis was innocent
http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2013/01/10/ray-lewis-baltimore-ravens-atlanta-murder-2000/1566198/
JJ never brought up the white suit at all and was wrong about Ray having to pay off the family of the victim
also sounds like Ray knew what happened but didn't want to rat on his boys so they got acquitted.

i'm Matt in Cleveland, who got unexpectedly dropped into the middle of last call, and that's sort of what I was trying to get at.
i wish i could have made it in on a regular segment, so i could have went into more detail.
There were numerous inaccuracies in JJ's take i wanted to address.
Hell, even Peter King reported (at the time), that Ray-Ray was in fact charged with murder, as well as 4 other felonies, and that guy is the worst journalist still drawing a paycheck.

I stand by what I said. I know that Ray paid for the funerals and was sued by the families. he wanted to ease their pain monetarily at least. He didn't kill anyone. He didn't "plead out". I don't care where his white suit is. Yes, I am washing the guys balls but the facts are the facts. Bad crowd. Kids got killed. Ray was the famous one in the bunch. Ray got arrested and released. he DID lie to police and has been very open about it. Read the book "NEXT MAN UP" it goes into exhaustive details about the case. No one can plea out of murder. Not O.J., not anybody. Prosecuters kind of get huge boners for putting away famous murderers.

JJ, I love you to death, but you're wrong, he did. He was charged with murder, he went to trial FOR MURDER, and after several days on trial FOR MURDER, he plead down ON THE CONDITION that he testified against the other two.

Ray was in court as a witness for the prosecution. He wasn't in court being tried for murder.

Are you even reading what you are posting?
Prosecutors presented little proof that the Baltimore Ravens linebacker assaulted anyone during a Jan. 31 street fight that left two men dead.
"It seems like the prosecution is starting to run out of gas, and it doesn't seem like they had much in the tank in the first place," said Irwin R. Kramer, a defense attorney from suburban Baltimore who is following the case.
Without much direct evidence linking Lewis to the stabbings of Richard Lollar and Jacinth Baker, prosecutors are trying to convince the jury that Lewis participated in a conspiracy to cover up the crime.
But that's not what he is charged with. Lewis and two friends, Sweeting and Oakley, are facing only the more serious charges of murder, felony murder and aggravated assault.
"There's no evidence of guilt here," said Samuel. "So all of the post-conduct circumstances are irrelevant."

I agree with jj. All the murderer stuff is getting old and Ray was judged and given a fair trial
-
Yes, I am reading what I'm posting. I'm not saying the guy is guilty.
I'm saying he stood trial for murder. When they couldn't make that stick, they plead him out, and dropped the murder charges.
You watch Law and Order. How many times does the episode end with no conviction?
I'm just saying it's all very suspect, that's all. OJ was innocent too.

Is that what we're doing here, your honor? Wiping our noses on G.O.A.T. LB's?
No doubt whatsoever that he is the G.O.A.T, by the way.

After my morning coffee, I decided i'm done flying this flag.
For all the "facts" on both sides, no one really knows for sure. And that's boring.
I'm happy to remember him as a HoF linebacker. If he has any debt outstanding, i'm sure he'll be compelled to square that up when the time comes.
I'm good with that. Positivity.
