JJ....he's the pride of Hudson, NC!!!  Hickory is close by but a totally different city......he's a home town Big Country boy!!!

Thanks for coming back around to the ol' message boards Jayjay...while according to Wikipedia alone you would be correct...however, let me do a little bit of Hong Kong Toohey's job and provide you with a little bit more detailed info on Madison Bumgarner and how he got the nickname "Bumtown"....PLEASE check out this article...although it's from 2012 the info is still the same..you see they quit having babies in the home in Hudson many years ago and had to start going to the actual hospital in the closest town which was Hickory, but he only attended Hudson schools, etc...    Please read this brief article and you'll be good...you're fans will appreciate your  attention to detail as all the other sports guys won't dig this deep!!  Read this: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/giants-pitcher-madison-bumgarner-is-from-a-place-nicknamed--bumtown--almost-a-century-ago.html

Hudson IS in Caldwell County...I know my info regrading MadBum!!! hahaha   Here's another good article on him!
