FVCK! Did I really just put Greg instead of Mike multiple times?? And I haven't listened regularly to Rome in 2 years....

name confusion aside, my point still stands. JJ got punked, but it was over a stupid radio contest...and Mike looked just as foolish IMO by pretending to be a chick. But the boys did bite, hard on it...the whole thing was pretty funny

Heard the whole thing...saw a few of the tweets. Personally I think JJ was trying to save face b/c he really got punked on this whole thing. There's no way they "knew it might have been a fake account" as JJ intimated yesterday. I've been listening to about every minute of the show (XM receiver with pause and recall, invest in it if you are on the road for work) and there was no indication Kim G was fake. Mike pulled one over on them. At first yesterday, JJ tried to act like it was all on Mike for pretending to be a chick, but during the show he started to back down and make light of it....finally admitting they'd all been fooled. But he did have a bit of a point, why the fvck would Mike go through all the trouble? Because he wasn't getting his Tweets read with his own Twitter handle?? So he decided to use a fake one to "stick it" to Matty? Wow. I Tweet every day and they never get read....big deal. Matty does need to read other Tweets besides the THTC guys/girls(?)....but to create an entire fake profile to prove a point? Wow, that's deserving of JJ making fun of you. But make no mistake, this was all on the crew and mostly JJ for overriding them with Kim G as his choice for winner. I kept making "backpeddling like a CB" tweets yesterday, of course none of them were read b/c I am not that good...oh and looking at the latest conversations it appears JJ and Mike are over it.

Old Patty thinks he's better than everyone bc he is as old as dirt and is a "big star" and used to call NBA games back in the short shorts era...we haven't forgotten the voicemail, Pat. "I just want to get crazy with you..." Lol

Since the guys did them on Wednesday, I went ahead and tried my luck. I got 36, not too bad b/c I don't lift weights anymore (I swim 3x a week)

I don't know why he doesn't play "ooh, hey buddy" anymore either. He will say it when callers reference it, but I haven't heard the drop once. Maybe it was contractual or something....

I know this isn't a drop, but the past few days with "Brain" doing rapid fire have been hilarious. You can hear JJ and Matty laughing in the background.

Also, Matty saying "I get Karate Kid and you get a bangin' beat?" to JJ when they all had songs after their names.

Ok, listened to him today on regular AM....full commercials in between breaks. As I said before, it must have been an XM thing...JJ seems to be doing just fine.

I also like Barkley's "that's turrible" after a bad call or tweet.
Not a sound bite but JJ always saying Dan Byer (sp?) is working through some ridiculous disease or affliction

Agreed.....those live reads are beyond annoying. I guess it's an XM/Sirius thing then. I am done with V Day ads on all levels. We get about 10 minutes between Christmas and the start of retarded (oops!) jewelry ads for the 14th.

Please enlighten me then....oh wise one. I know enough to know commercial breaks should contain commercials and not bumper music, even on XM. Again I said I haven't listened to my local affiliate, so I could be wrong if they are running ads. But when JJ himself is calling out for sponsors...he had the Twitter hat trick sponsored by a paper bag, then said, "this could your space, sponsors"...it can't be a good thing.

Seems like the show is having trouble bagging new sponsors...Dollar Shave Club, Stamps.com, those strawberry live reads that will end after the 14th, but not a ton else. I know it's early, but should we be worried? I listen on XM, and there are times the entire break is just bumper music. That doesn't happen with Dan Patrick, or any of the ESPN shows. Again, I realize those are big time, proven entities. Terrestrial radio might be different, as local businesses might be picking up ad time. Maybe I need to listen to the local affiliate to see. But I listen on XM b/c I am in sales and cover half of Indiana and can't get the show in the cornfields. But the lack of national sponsors is beginning to be a concern...I'd hate for JJ to get canceled and replaced by some hack.
