I've been running an NFL confidence pool on Stucknut.com since 2005.
It's using a script that I modified to work with the forum way back then, so it's kind of old-school.
Would any of you be interested in playing if I installed it on this forum too?

It takes a lot of players to make it worth while. You would also have to set the entire weeks worth
of picks before the kickoff of game 1 of the week, which is usually Thursday night. We've had many
people quit after forgetting to make picks.

..sure I'd be interested. I was already planning on starting a "Mohrrior" group on Fox selecting games vs. spread each week, but I wouldn't mind doing this in addition to that.
BTW, if any of you have never played this type of pool before, it's pretty fun. You can go out on a limb and place a high value number on an upset game and kick everyone's ass that way, or you can play it safe and put all the high value numbers on the big favorites. There's no shortage of strategy involved.

i agree. its completely different than fantasy football. i always do both.
now we can have a friendly competition against the stucknutters.

i copied over the code to http://www.jaymohrsports.com/nflpool/
ill make a spot for it in the menu this week. i need to do some testing on it to make sure its working properly. i built and modified the code on stucknut back in 2005, so it can be a bit outdated. plus ive never copied it to a separate site before.
with that being said, feel free to add your picks for week 1 and let me know if you see any glitches.
you will be able to modify your picks up until the kickoff of the weeks first game, usually on thurs nights.

I fixed the issue. The games were set to AM so it thought kickoff already happened.

lets do it there. we dont have the built-in membership here to support it.
just sign up as same name and we can still compete with them.
